OSHA Vaccine Rule and Allegheny County Sick Leave Webinar

January 7, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

On Friday evening, December 17, 2021, the U.S. Court for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals lifted the stay blocking the OSHA vaccine rule. The court found that the potential harm to the health of Americans outweighed the potential harm of requiring vaccines and testing. This means that the vaccine rule is now back in play and companies with more than 100 employees should prepare to comply with it. To give employers time to prepare, OSHA will not start enforcing the rule until January 10, 2022. Given the nature of this rule, it will undoubtedly be appealed to the Supreme Court, so it is important that employers stay tuned for further developments. CTR and Acuity HR will be holding a webinar on January 7th at 11am to cover these developments and how CTR can assist you with staying compliant through isolved. Allegheny County Sick Leave Rule

For employers in Allegheny County – or those with employees working in Allegheny County, the long-awaited guidance regarding sick leave has been issued. Starting now, employers must post the sick leave notice required by the county and begin “counting” hours for purposes of this leave. Employees will not be allowed to utilize sick leave until March 15, 2022. The second half of the seminar on January 7th will cover the Allegheny County sick leave rule in detail. We will also cover how isolved can assist you with tracking this new sick leave program.
